Terms of Service

Article 1 (Introduction)

These Terms of Service ("these Terms") set out the conditions for using the app "meshitelop" ("the Service"), provided by meshitelop ("the Operator"). Users who register for the Service ("Users") shall use the Service only after agreeing to these Terms.

Article 3 (Service Overview)

The Service is an app that lets Users take and share photos of a meal they are eating right now, and view, like, comment on, and save other Users' posts. Posts are only shared at the country/region level — exact addresses and coordinates are never made public.

Article 4 (Account Registration)

Users shall register an account based on true and accurate information. In principle, each person may register only one account, and creating an account to impersonate another User is prohibited. Users are responsible for managing their own accounts and may not transfer or lend them to third parties.

Article 5 (Prohibited Conduct)

When using the Service, Users shall not engage in any of the following:

- Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
- Acts that infringe the rights of other Users or third parties
- Creating a Restaurant post using false location information
- Spam or unrelated promotional activity
- Harassment, defamation, or discriminatory speech
- Posting a meal as though you are eating it when you are not actually eating it
- Acts that interfere with operation of the Service, unauthorized access, or reverse engineering
- Any other conduct the Operator deems inappropriate

Article 6 (Rights to Posted Content)

Copyright in photos, text, and other content posted by Users ("Posted Content") belongs to the User who posted it. Users grant the Operator a royalty-free license to use Posted Content (including reproduction and public transmission) to the extent necessary to display and distribute it within the Service. This license ends when the Posted Content is deleted, or when the account is deleted.

Article 7 (Handling of Location Information and Photo Data)

The Service limits the visible scope of posts to the country/region level and does not store or disclose exact addresses or coordinates. Metadata such as capture location (EXIF/GPS data) contained in posted photos is automatically removed before upload. Current location is used only temporarily — for the Map's initial view, nearby search on Swipe, and venue verification when creating a Restaurant post — and is never stored or disclosed as an exact location. Article 8 (Deleting Posts and Accounts)

Users may delete their own posts and comments at any time. When a User deletes their account, related data such as posts, photos, likes, comments, and Swipe history is promptly deleted. The Operator may delete or suspend posts or accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

The Operator makes no warranty, express or implied, that the Service is free of factual or legal defects. Except where caused by the Operator's intent or gross negligence, the Operator is not liable for any damage a User incurs from using the Service. The Service is under active development, and its features may be changed, suspended, or discontinued without notice.

Article 10 (Changes to These Terms)

The Operator may change these Terms without prior notice to Users whenever deemed necessary. The revised Terms take effect once displayed within the Service.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Operator's location as the court of first instance.
